Management Team


Our management team is singularly focused on helping you increase your service contract revenues.

John Vitalie, President and CEO
John is responsible for Encover's global strategy and operations and a member of Encover's Board of Directors. He brings twenty years of executive and sales leadership to Encover, including his most recent role as Regional Vice President of The NASDAQ OMX Stock Market. At NASDAQ, John was responsible for all corporate client sales, support and operations for the western region. Prior to this, John held executive sales and global channel management positions at Siebel Systems, where he established and grew the Life Sciences business unit into the market leading provider of healthcare software solutions. John was previously SVP of Worldwide Marketing and Sales at ADAC Labs, provider of medical imaging systems. John was instrumental in the implementation of a Total Quality Management System, eventually leading ADAC to become the Winner of the 1996 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. John is a frequent speaker and panelist for organizations such as The International Business Forum, Financial Executives International, the Software Alliance Organization, and the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. John currently serves on the Board of The Tech (Museum) in San Jose and on the Advisory Board of Ronnie Lott's All Stars Helping Kids Foundation. He also has been a member of TechNet, Silicon Valley Leadership Group, California Healthcare Institute and SD Forum. John is an alumnus of the Stanford Graduate School of Business and holds a BS from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Barry Papenfuss, Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Barry is responsible for the company's finance, treasury, accounting, investor relations, tax, information systems, human resource and administrative functions. Barry's background includes over 20 years of experience as an executive and board member with information technology, licensing, manufacturing and franchising enterprises. Prior to Encover, Barry held key management positions with both Sento Corporation and American Resources including CAO, CFO and President. Barry began his career at Deloitte & Touche where he attained the position of Manager and earned his CPA certificate. Barry holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.

Chris De Vylder, Vice President, Marketing and Business Development
Chris is responsible for corporate and product marketing, client marketing, sales operations as well as all pre-sales activities at Encover. Prior to joining Encover, Chris led product management for Siebel's High Tech, Automotive and Manufacturing product lines and was instrumental in building out Siebel's Partner Relationship Management products. Earlier in his career, Chris set up and managed a network of value-added resellers in South-East Asia for ICOS Vision Systems (acquired by KLA Tencor), a semiconductor equipment manufacturer, contributing to ICOS' significant growth in the region and eventually its successful IPO in 1997. Chris holds an MBA from the Wharton School and an MS in Engineering from KU Leuven in Belgium.

Naveen Zutshi, Vice President, Technology & Operations
Naveen is responsible for Encover's technology and solution architecture, as well as IT operations. Prior to joining Encover, Naveen spent seven years in a variety of senior technology positions with Cisco Systems, where he was responsible for architecting and delivering Enterprise Management & Identity Management Solutions. Naveen's background at Cisco also includes leading the development of Sales Force Automation technologies in support of the global sales force at Cisco. Earlier in his career, Naveen spent six years with Wal-Mart Corporation, most recently as strategy manager for their enterprise information portal and in senior engineering positions at Tata Unisys. Naveen holds a B.E. in Computer Engineering with Distinction from Bangalore University, and an MBA from the University of Arkansas.

Debra Rebchook, Vice President, Business Services
Debra is responsible for professional services and product management at Encover, including the management of all client implementations. Debra brings over 20 years of experience in professional services and product development to Encover. Prior to joining Encover in 2002, Debra held senior client service and development positions at DW Smith and PMSC where she implemented service contract management solutions for customers including Telstra, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts, AT&T, CLI, Motorola, Schlumberger, and Allstate. Debra has a BS in computer programming from Northern Illinois University.

Mark Patton, Vice President, Worldwide Sales
Mark is responsible for Encover's worldwide sales strategy and execution. Mark has 25 years of successful sales and marketing experience with a proven track record in both large and small companies. He has built worldwide sales organizations addressing the small and medium business markets, the consumer market, enterprise software, and has significant experience managing channel partners. Mark was most recently the VP of Sales and Business Development for Posit Science. Prior to that, he held positions as VP of Marketing and Business Development for SealedMedia, and CEO of Harmonic Communications. Mark spent 5 years at NetObjects where he served as the Senior VP of Worldwide Sales and Marketing and later the EVP and GM for Products and Services, as well as COO. He also has held the position of VP and GM of worldwide sales and marketing for the pioneering Digital and Applied Imaging Division at Kodak, and Logitech's American region. During his decade-long tenure at Apple Computer, Mark held various positions in the business division including direct revenue responsibility in excess of $2 billion. Mark began his career at Proctor & Gamble. He holds a BA in speech communication from the University of Washington, Seattle.

Mike O'Brien, Vice President, Channel Sales
Mike is responsible for Encover's channel sales strategy and execution. Mike brings over 25 years of channel-centric sales expertise to Encover. Most recently, Mike held Executive Director and VP of Sales & Marketing roles at MarketSource, a provider of large-scale outsourced sales programs to IT channels organizations. Prior, Mike held roles including vice president of sales, vice president of business development and vice president of channel management at Interland and Navision Software, which was acquired by Microsoft Corporation in 2002 . Mike began his career and spent 17 years at IBM Corporation in a variety of roles encompassing sales, sales management and channel development. Mike holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in business from Purdue University.

Mike WilliamsMike Williams, Vice President and General Manager, Client Services
Mike is responsible for client services, ensuring Encover provides a dynamic, high-output sales solution for our clients. Prior to Encover, Mike was the COO and Managing Director of Europe for SENTO Corporation, a public company, where he spent 9 years in the outsourced sales, service and support industry. As an executive with SENTO, Mike held budgetary and operational responsibility for a multi-national organization, playing a key role in M&A activities, vendor and site selection,as well as sales, while SENTO grew from $17M/yr to over $50M/yr in revenue. His experience in the outsourced services industry helped ensure a solid service delivery as well as high efficiency, which is why he was elected to serve as an advisory board member for the creation of the J.D. Power and Associates Certified Technology Service and Support Award program.
